A 15 minutes' stroll on the seaside promenade takes you to Playa Blanca's charming village centre, and a 15 minutes’ walk also leaves you on the nearest sand beach. Ideal for snorkelling lovers is the small turquoise pebble beach just outside the villa. All rooms are unpretentiously furnished in a modern and comfortable style. The heated pool is surrounded by a large patio and outside dining area with barbecue. The villa has sea views to Lobos Island, Papagayo Beaches and Fuerteventura from several rooms. Very spacious downstairs lounge and playing-area with pool table and games, ideal for children and families. The villa is only a 30 minutes' drive from Lanzarote airport and is specially close to Timanfaya National Park and other attractions.

Location

Villa Rubicon is situated in a new development close to the Rubicon marina. Life in Playa Blanca started out as a very simple fishing village but as Lanzarote has became more popular with tourists Playa Blanca has grown into a thriving and popular resort. It has a new marina (Marina Rubicon) which is host to many top class restaurants and boats, marina rubicon is an ideal places to wonder around shopping and have a bite to eat and every Wednesday and Saturday there is a market here.The main attractions in Playa Blanca the nearby beaches. Some of the best beaches in the Canary Islands are just four miles (six km) away at Papagayo Beach. The resort is mainly geared for families and couples looking for a relaxing time either on one of the beaches or wandering around the promenade looking to do some shopping. While Playa Blanc doesn't offer the same variety of nightlife as Puerto del Carmen, visitors can still party well into the early hours in the disco and karaoke bars located at Centro Comercial Papagayo or Centro Comercial Punta Limones. Locals come out to play on Friday and Saturday nights, while the holiday Reps tend to party on Wednesday night. Bear in mind that Nightlife tends to kick-off later in Spain and many bars won't get busy until well after midnight – don't worry though, some of the Disco-bars in Centro Comercial Papayago are open until 6am! Since the resort has a large proportion of self-catering villas and bungalows, there is no shortage of places to eat. The seafront at the centre of town is literally lined with restaurants catering to just about every taste and nationality imaginable. If you feel up to it you can even take the ferry to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. The trip takes just twenty minutes and is a fabulous excursion.
